Automotive Training Center (ATC) is an award-winning post-secondary career training school with campuses located in Warminster (Bucks County), PA and Exton (Chester County), PA. We currently have immediate openings for a part-time Financial Aid Advisor at both the Exton and Warminster Campuses. Hours M-Th 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for guiding students through the financial aid process. Late Afternoon/Evening Schedule as well as Saturdays. Applicants should possess exceptional customer service, public speaking, math and computer skills. Must be able to multitask and have a strong attention to detail. Experience in processing Title IV Student Financial Aid in compliance with State and Federal guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide integral support to the school's recruiting efforts by demonstrating professional concern, respect, and quality service or support to applicants, students, and staff.
  • Create FSA ID with all incoming students
  • Assist students with completing FAFSA
  • Schedule FA Appointments
  • Conduct financial aid interviews as scheduled with students (and their parents, if applicable) to determine financial aid eligibility using appropriate methodologies. Explain financial aid/payment plan options.
  • Provide admissions staff with pertinent data regarding a first-year student's packaging status
  • Originate and schedule Direct Loans and Pell Grants
  • Schedule PHEAA Grant disbursements
  • Certify private loan applications
  • College Finance Plan and certification for Veterans
  • Ensure that all verification requirements are met
  • Ensure that all students' financial aid packages are finalized prior to the start of classes. Communicate unresolved issues with the appropriate departments
  • Complete MPN and Conduct entrance loan counseling for all new federal student loan borrowers.
  • Assist with finalizing student packaging.
  • Accomplish ongoing professional development by attending workshops and conferences as directed, and reading federal, state, and association publications via email or web.
  • Assist with front desk/bursar coverage.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One year of financial aid-related experience. Experience with Anthology is a plus. Bilingual is a plus.
