SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Program Director, The Worksite Engagement Specialist position involves frequent visits to internship sites to monitor participant progress, identify challenges, and provide on-site support to both employer partner and the participant. This role ensures quality placements, monitors participant progress, and addresses workplace challenges. The Monitor serves as a liaison between employment staff, participants, and employers, providing coaching, collecting feedback, and promoting retention. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, building community partnerships, supporting job readiness efforts, and contributing to the planning of hiring events and job fairs. The goal is to ensure successful, sustainable employment outcomes through hands-on engagement and responsive support.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine visits to internship and employment sites to monitor participant performance, gather feedback, and ensure quality and compliance of placements.
- Serve as a bridge between job seekers, employment services staff, and employer partners to ensure clear communication and timely support.
- Coach participants through workplace challenges, offering practical solutions and guidance to support job retention and growth.
- Support employer partners with onboarding practices, employee engagement, and training strategies to improve retention outcomes.
- Gather, document, and analyze feedback from employers to inform ongoing job readiness training and program improvements.
- Educate participants on workplace expectations and help them address barriers that may affect job performance or stability.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with community agencies, housing providers, parole/probation officers, and participant families to reinforce employment support networks.
- Track and report on worksite conditions, placement outcomes, job retention milestones, and participant satisfaction levels.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all site visits, employer partner interactions, and participant progress, including case notes and reports.
- Collaborate with employment specialists to reassess and reassign participants to appropriate worksites as needed for better alignment.
- Assist in organizing and executing job fairs, hiring events, and employer engagement activities.
- Provide ongoing retention support to help participants maintain steady, long-term employment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the broader goals of workforce development and participant success.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Human Services, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in workforce development, case management, or employer engagement
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel frequently within the region to conduct site visits
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and varying business environments
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain detailed documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with case management or DYCD systems a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate employer or participant schedules
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
