Position Overview

This role supports a high-impact initiative in the renewable energy sector. The position focuses on system analysis, design, and support for emerging technologies within large-scale renewable and offshore wind environments. The selected candidate will work on applications that are new to the energy industry and must be self-motivated, technically adept, and capable of solving complex, unique challenges.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Location Requirement:
    Candidate must be local to the Richmond, VA area or able to commute regularly to the office.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day (standard business hours).

Top Required Skills

  1. Senior Systems Analyst Experience:
    Minimum of 5+ years in a similar senior-level role.
  2. Database Expertise:
    Strong understanding of database structures and management systems; experience in large, regulated industry environments preferred.
  3. Renewable Energy Systems:
    Prior experience with offshore wind or regenerative energy technologies such as vHIVE, WIND Toolkit, or related platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Analysis & Design:
    Evaluate existing systems and business processes to define requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Software Development:
    Write, test, and debug code to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • System Maintenance & Support:
    Provide ongoing system monitoring, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:
    Partner with business users, developers, and IT teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain system design documents, technical manuals, and user guides.
  • Problem Solving:
    Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and creatively.

Education & Experience

  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years of directly related professional experience.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics.

Preferred Industry Background

  • Candidates with experience in
    financial services
