Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled culinary professional to join our team as a Dietary Aide. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our dietary department, focusing on meal preparation and service in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

  • Assist in menu planning and development to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of meals.
  • Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are maintained at all times.
  • Provide support in catering events, including setup, serving, and cleanup.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any dietary needs or restrictions.
  • Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation while adhering to safety standards.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal planning.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and guests effectively.
