We are seeking a warm, reliable, and energetic assistant teacher to join our Caring Hearts team This role is perfect for someone who loves babies and toddlers, has a calm presence, and enjoys supporting a tight-knit and nurturing learning environment.

In this position, you will serve as a floater, meaning you will support both our infant group and toddler group depending on daily needs. You will collaborate closely with our lead teachers to help maintain a smooth and loving environment for our children.

Responsibilities:

Infant Support

  • Assist with feeding, bottles, diapering, and naps
  • Comfort, soothe, and safely supervise babies
  • Engage in floor play and gentle sensory experiences

Toddler Support

  • Help transition children during arrival (jackets, shoes, handwashing)
  • Assist with morning learning/play experiences
  • Support outdoor transitions and accompany group to the park (when infant ratio allows)
  • Help with lunch routine and nap prep (diapers, mats, bottles)

General

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Follow daily routines and communicate with the teaching team
  • Use positive guidance and model kind, respectful behavior
  • Support a Reggio-inspired, child-centered philosophy

Requirements

  • Experience with infants and toddlers preferred
  • Ability to comfortably lift up to 30 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, warm, and proactive
  • CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain before start date)
  • TB clearance, immunizations & background check (required per licensing)
