The Opportunity: The Team Lead, Payroll Payment Operations, will utilize their knowledge and experience to guide a team of offshore Specialists and Analysts in day-to-day activities. This will include training and problem resolution as it relates to resolving customer inquiries via ticketing system, transmission of client files, client data management related to payroll calendars, and the reconciliation of expected deductions to received remittance payments for identifying trends in delinquency and overpayments. The Team Lead will work closely with internal partners such as Client Success, Account Management, and IT to assist with solutions related to deduction issues. In addition, the Team Lead will be the go-to for offshore Specialists/Analysts within the PPO team and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with teammates, management, clients, and customers.
What You Will Do:
- Provide training and guidance to offshore members of the PPO team with their day-to-day tasks
- Assist the team with performing at optimal levels to ensure consistent quality in deliverables
- Oversee the process of reconciling expected payments to received remittance files and report reconciliation findings to leadership
- Lead cross-functional discussions related to client-level deduction reconciliation findings and trends
- Guide the team in actioning short payment and overpayment deduction discrepancies
- Assist the team with troubleshooting issues related to file processing
- Monitor and report on Service Cloud tickets assigned to PPO team
- Provide support to projects and initiatives related to payroll deduction operations
- Communicate findings and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and systems
- Lead efforts to compile all necessary data for internal and external audit testing
- Other duties to support the PPO team as assigned
The Experience You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to guide and lead teammates in meeting deadlines and resolving issues
- Ability to manage/manipulate large data sets efficiently while keeping data very organized
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to multi-task to deliver timely output and handle shifting priorities professionally
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a team environment
- Understanding of accounting concepts and financial analysis
