We are seeking a Senior Accountant to expand our Finance and Accounting Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in Brandt's month-end closing process, comprehensive accounting reconciliations, intercompany transactions and work with multiple departments to ensure cross-functional goals are met.
Job Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including more advanced topics like consolidation, intercompany transactions, and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in applying GAAP to a range of accounting scenarios, including estimates, contingencies, and asset management.
- Resolve complex accounting issues, including reconciling discrepancies and handling unusual transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support M&A activities, including purchase accounting and integration of financial data.
- Participate in ERP system implementations and upgrades, ensuring accurate data migration and process optimization.
- Assist in accounting Month-End close with adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation of business unit specific or client specific financial information.
- Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxes and general accounting areas.
- Participate in discussions with the senior management and business unit leaders in reviewing accounting records, analysis, and provide accounting support.
- Identify gaps in accounting processes and assist in improving them for increased efficiency and enhanced control.
What You Will Need
- Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 3+ years' of professional accounting experience, including month end close.
- Ability to plan, organize, and function effectively in a dynamic environment, addressing multiple demands of internal teams and clients.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as internal teams.
- Critical thinking, professionalism, intellectual curiosity and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong drive to continuously improve accounting operations, controls and financial reporting processes, including leveraging systems and technologies to improve workflows and scalability
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and drives projects to conclusion
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Advanced skills in using accounting software and tools such as Sage Intacct, Avalara, Ramp, Tableau, Excel, SQL.
- Must successfully clear a Level II fingerprint background screening.

- The selected candidate should have the skills, qualifications, and experience consistent somewhere between a Staff II/ Senior I level within Brandt's job architecture. The compensation range is $80,000.00-$95,000.00 and is determined by factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications and experience for this role.
