Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various accounting disciplines, including corporate, governmental, and non-profit sectors. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, managing complex accounting processes, and ensuring adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms, and a solid understanding of financial concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and cash management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and other regulatory requirements
  • Oversee regulatory reporting obligations for governmental or non-profit entities as applicable
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to financial management
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data
  • Manage cash flow and cash management activities to optimize liquidity
  • Perform technical accounting tasks related to complex transactions and accounting standards

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental or non-profit accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience with regulatory reporting requirements for various sectors
  • Excellent financial report writing skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Demonstrated expertise in cash management, payroll processing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and general ledger reconciliation accurately
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and preparing comprehensive financial documentation

Pay: $81, $98,577.89 per year
