Our elite global Private Equity client is seeking to recruit a lateral Principal Product Specialist with demonstrated control buyout PE strategy experience to own the product strategy narrative and daily product strategy workflow, manage and mentor a team of business development/fundraising junior staff, serve as the subject matter expert on private equity and equity-focused fund products and be the chief liaison between investors and the investment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on private equity and equity-focused fund products and be the chief liaison between investors and the investment team
  • Own the product strategy narrative and daily product strategy workflow
  • Manage, mentor and train junior business development/fundraising resources on products and strategic execution
  • Lead the design of marketing and fundraising materials, DDQs, RFPs and pitch materials
  • Lead private equity product development and product management
  • Perform market research, content development and product positioning across equity strategies, continuation vehicles and co-investments
  • Serve as the senior product resource for the business development team
  • Provide commercial expertise to support business development, fundraising and strategic planning initiatives
  • Work closely with finance, operations, legal and compliance teams on new product execution
  • Develop market commentary and thought leadership pieces and support external communications and brand building strategies
  • Maintain content libraries and consistently improve data management systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • MBA or CFA preferred
  • 8+ years of private equity or alternatives product strategy experience
  • Control buyout private equity strategy experience required
  • Demonstrated experience managing, training and mentoring junior resources
  • Demonstrated ability to support investor relations, business development and capital raising
  • Expertise in private equity markets, fund structures and co-investments
  • Advanced analytical and market research skills
  • Advanced technical financial skills including financial modeling
  • Demonstrated experience creating marketing, pitch and fundraising materials
