Ideal Candidate Profile

You'd be a standout candidate if you bring:

  • 5+ years in a marketing leadership role within software, insurance, or fintech
  • 2+ years of experience specifically in product marketing
  • Hands-on experience with channel sales go-to-market strategies and seller enablement materials
  • Expertise in life-cycle marketing, account-based marketing (ABM), and partner marketing
  • Strong business acumen and comfort operating in unstructured, fast-paced environments
  • A willingness to take ownership of copywriting and messaging
  • A keen eye for design and brand aesthetics
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

This startup is building a faster, smarter way to underwrite commercial insurance for high-hazard industries, leveraging novel data sources and a full-stack platform that supports everything from submission intake to policy issuance. The company also offers native SaaS solutions that enhance client outcomes and differentiate its offerings.

As the first dedicated marketing hire, you will:

  • Serve as a marketing generalist and strategic leader
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy with measurable outcomes
  • Craft compelling narratives and enablement materials to support underwriters and distribution partners
  • Own external messaging, product positioning, and direct marketing campaigns
  • Apply brand identity across various product touchpoints
  • Manage internal and external resources to execute campaigns and initiatives
  • Design unique events and customer experiences that drive growth and awareness
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting to support outreach efforts
  • Identify and leverage insights across the insurance stakeholder ecosystem
  • Be accountable for growth-oriented KPIs and performance metrics
  • Play an active role in company leadership
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, creative startup environment
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product and engineering
