Lighting Quotations Specialist/CSR

We are seeking an experienced construction pricing and/or project manager to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in supporting our sales team by preparing accurate and competitive pricing proposals for commercial and architectural lighting projects. In addition to Quotations, this individual will need to assist with entering purchase orders, reviewing shop drawings and be skilled at solving problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and fixture schedules to develop comprehensive lighting quotations.
  • Accurately interpret product requirements and select appropriate manufacturers and product lines.
  • Calculate and prepare competitive pricing proposals, incorporating agency margins, freight, and vendor discounts.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams to gather up-to-date pricing and availability.
  • Track and manage bid deadlines to ensure timely proposal delivery.
  • Assist Customer Service Manager with entering orders and managing projects through final completion.
  • Assist with warranty claims and various post sales issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills; able to calculate markups, margins, and total project costs accurately.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Prior experience in lighting, electrical distribution, construction estimating, or a similar technical environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or quoting software (such as Oasis, SpexPlus, or similar).
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and specifications is a plus.
