Quest Global is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist you will focus on tactical execution of procurement strategies set forth by corporate commodity management and based on commodity also act as strategic buyer to develop and implement sourcing strategies and execute negotiations for the assigned material field. You will focus on internal customers and partners who can't be successful without your contribution, timeliness and transparency. You will work in a highly motivated team with a can-do attitude, helping and supporting each other. You will solve short term / daily issues, creating huge value for our factories and customers, and parallel you will work with the global commodity management teams to develop and implement long-lasting improvement and development projects. You will become an expert of tactical execution, expediting, strategic negotiation, and supply chain performance management.

What You will Do:

  • Strong collaboration with global and local commodity management and the operational material requirements planning team to achieve most effectiveness in planning, alignment and execution
  • Send out request for quotations (RfQ), initiate / support technical clarification in RfQ phase, compare quotes based on Total Cost of Ownership
  • Negotiate quotes with traditional and Advanced Negotiation Techniques
  • Select supplier based on agreed guidelines (qualification status, Long Term Agreement status, commodity strategy, supplier performance etc.)
  • Continuously monitor own procurement list, create and update purchase orders, follow up on execution such as order confirmation, progress, and compliance with quality requirements
  • Support and ensure compliance with transportation and customs requirements in close collaboration with Logistics team
  • Responsible for high data quality in Procurement (Purchase Order and Purchase Info Record maintenance) 
  • Responsible for project results (budget versus actuals) of assigned commodities
  • Responsible to implement the tactical procurement plan (like pricing, supplier mix strategy, new vendor, lead time)
  • Lead technical clarifications with Engineering, suppliers and supplier quality engineers of assigned commodities
  • Lead contract management related functions for own commodities (claim management, terms and conditions clarifications)
  • Continuous improvement of procurement related processes and their execution, continuous improvement of own supplier base.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Project related savings, On Time Delivery, Claim Success, Process quality
     

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts, preferred CPM or CPIM or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of three years of applicable direct purchasing / material requirement planning or comparable relevant experience and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Generation products / supply market is preferred
  • Advanced technical knowledge required (like read and understand technical drawings, specifications)
  • Solid SAP system knowledge as a user of "Buy" module is required
  • Advanced analytical skills to handle, transform, understand and use large data volumes (preferred Microsoft Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration and influencing techniques, result-orientation and strategic-innovative thinking required
  • Strong intercultural sensitivity and outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience facilitating or participating in continuous process improvement projects
  • Strong team player, with a can-do attitude and problem-resolution focus
     

Pay Range: ($55k to $68k). 

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
