Description
The Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and comprehensive financial documentation and supporting internal and external audit activities. This role prepares complex audit work papers and reports for the Office of Accounting (ACCT) and serves as a key liaison with external auditors to ensure compliance and transparency throughout all audit processes.
The Accountant assists in preparing monthly reports and maintains a thorough understanding of current accounting standards, policies, and best practices. This position ensures proper documentation and organization of all financial records, including contracts, agreements, and other confidential documents, maintaining strict adherence to internal control and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
Education/ Experience
Bachelor's Degree in business or Accounting.
Two (2) years of professional-level accounting or financial management experience in gov't, commercial, or public accounting.
