Sales and Business Development Manager

Dixie Belle Ice Cream is seeking a full-time highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our Corporate Team in Charlotte. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth, expanding our market presence, and forging strategic partnerships. Dixie Belle is a premium Ice Cream distribution company serving the best-known brands in the world. We are Master Concessionaire Distributers for exclusive brands like Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Klondike, Popsicle, Breyers, Good Humor Talenti, to name a few.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor Position.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships to expand our customer base. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, generating leads, negotiating and close deals.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics to meet business objectives and sales targets. Identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Visit "potential new customers" in our Charlotte and Greensboro NC market as well as the Greenville SC market. Areas include Charlotte Metro and surrounding, Asheville and surrounding, Greensboro and surrounding, Greenville SC and surrounding to name a few. Work off leads provided by call in and website inquiries.
  • Negotiate and close deals, including contract negotiations and pricing agreements. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with our Sales Director and cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations. Drive business development initiatives and ensure seamless execution of new and existing account set-up and exemplary on-going service.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You will be provided with a company car. In the initial interview stage we will request that you provide a MVR driving record sourced from the state DMV that is obtained online. Due to insurance costs, you must have a clean MVR for 4-5 years. NO reported infractions, NO fault accidents can be accepted.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the c-store or mid-sized variety store industry. Must have a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of successful deal closures. Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Presenting company products and services to prospective clients, showcasing their value and addressing their needs.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) to communicate, create sales presentations, proposals, and reports.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position paying $800.00 per week salary PLUS commission. As an Independent Contractor, enjoy freedom of the road and managing your piece of the business.

  • A company car will be provided to include all fuel and vehicle maintenance.
  • Occasional overnight travel will be required. Lodging and meals are covered.
