We're seeking a Senior HR Business Partner who will be instrumental in cultivating our high-performance, collaborative culture and impacting business success through our people. You'll partner directly with global leadership to drive strategic decisions around organizational design, employee retention and development, and employee relations. As a key team member, you'll assess, develop, coach, and influence our talent and leaders. This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a rapidly scaling organization.
This role is expected to come into the San Francisco office 2 days per week as part of PagerDuty's hybrid work model, so you can thrive in your new role and fully embrace being a Dutonian
How You Impact Our Vision
- Demonstrate exceptional relationship-building abilities, cultivating trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders including client groups and cross-functional partners to drive collaboration, resolve conflicts, and achieve shared business objectives.
- Partner with business leaders as a strategic HR consultant, using data-driven insights to identify organizational challenges and develop solutions with measurable ROI.
- Coach leadership through complex people decisions while partnering on span of control optimization, workforce planning, and strategic organizational design initiatives that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Effectively influences stakeholders across all levels, anticipates decision impacts across the organization, and drives creative solutions that ensure buy-in and successful implementation.
- Facilitates comprehensive change management activities including stakeholder alignment and execution, leverages industry best practices (e.g. Prosci and ADKAR), and enables leaders to influence adoption through structured frameworks and targeted messaging.
- Support management in the planning and execution of critical organizational programs including annual merit and equity cycles, talent assessments, succession planning and other strategic HR programs requiring cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Manage complex employee relations cases including workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with global employment laws and company policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in business partnering, generalist, and/or consulting roles
- 3+ years providing HR support for Sales/Field/Go-To-Market organizations
- Demonstrated knowledge in core HR functions including performance management, employee relations, compensation, and organizational design
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders at all levels, and facilitate difficult conversations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with experience managing complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines consistently
- Demonstrated ability to scale processes and organizations in a SaaS and/or technology environment highly desired
The base salary range for this position is 114, ,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
