What you'll do
- Serve a variety of Shaved Ice and ice cream flavors and toppings with a smile, ensuring each order is crafted to perfection.
- Operate Toast POS system.
- Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, answering questions and making recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly rapport with guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the serving area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including scooping ice cream and preparing toppings, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or retail environments is not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices will set you apart as a candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with a knack for sales and upselling techniques are essential for success in this role.
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety is crucial in this position.
- Experience in bussing or kitchen roles within the food industry will be beneficial.
