About The Role
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Sales Director
to lead our wholesale sales efforts across Ready-to-Wear (RTW) and contemporary department store accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong buyer relationships, deep experience in replenishment strategies, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth while leading and inspiring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly manage an Account Executive (AE) and Sales Assistant.
- Provide leadership and support to the broader team, including Sr. AE, 2 AE's, and Sales Assistants.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Visual Coordinators (dotted line reporting) to ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborate with the separate Menswear team to maximize cross-category opportunities.
Sales & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contemporary RTW department store buyers.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve seasonal and annual revenue goals.
- Drive replenishment programs to maximize sales and ensure consistent in-store presence.
- Partner with Visual Coordinators to ensure optimal brand presentation across retail partners.
Business Reporting & Analytics
- Own internal reporting, including weekly sales reports, business recaps, and performance analysis.
- Present results and key insights in upper management meetings.
- Monitor sell-through performance and take proactive measures to address business opportunities or challenges.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Planning, Merchandising, and Visual teams to align sales strategies with brand and product goals.
- Partner with Operations to ensure efficient fulfillment, replenishment, and inventory flow.
- Act as a key voice in business planning and growth strategy discussions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of wholesale sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Established relationships with contemporary RTW department store buyers.
- Strong experience with replenishment business models.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly analytical with experience in business reporting and sales forecasting.
- Passion for contemporary fashion and alignment with the brand aesthetic.
Salary $150,000-$160,000
