We are a expanding OB/GYN office who is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are in need of someone with exceptional work ethic and an expanded perspective. This is not an entry level position and you must have medical office experience.

Role and Responsibilities

· Acts as first impression of the practice. Performs all roles needed for the front desk: screening, greeting, registration, booking appointments, insurance verification, processing paperwork, checking in, checking out, collecting payment, assisting in online registration, answering phones and other tasks as assigned by the Physician and Supervisors.

Essential functions

· Checks in patient in the EMR system which includes reviewing and updating demographic information, verifying insurance when needed, scanning copies of insurance cards, collecting co-pays and balances from patients.

· Instructs and assists new patients on the proper completion of their new patient paperwork.

· Continually monitors the schedule and communicates changes to patients.

· Maintains clean waiting room and working areas.

· Answers telephone, schedules appointments, screens calls, provides information or routes calls to the appropriate person.

· Reviews and preps each patient chart before the visit with updated information provided.

· Performs opening and closing standard procedures.

· Checks for current referrals and/or authorizations for applicable patients. Obtains new referrals from primary care physician as necessary per office site as needed.

· Photocopies and faxes various documents as necessary.

· Performs related tasks and assignments as necessary.

· Complies with established organizational policies and procedures of the practice.

·ECW is required.

OB/Gyn or GYN only experience is a preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
