Medical Assistant Back and Front Office

Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care in an office setting
Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs (manually), administering injections, drawing blood and collecting/testing urine specimens
Prepare patients for examinations and assist with medical procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient information
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
Follow proper protocols for infection control and safety measures
Provide excellent patient service and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicated with patients in Spanish
Completion of a Medical Assistant program with certification
Able to perform blood draws independently
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (BLS)
Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures
Experience in providing patient care in a healthcare setting is preferred
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Referral completion knowledge, prior authorization knowledge, insurance verification knowledge and OBGYN medical terminology are required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Energetic personality
Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the healthcare provider, you will utilize your core skills in EHR systems, vital signs monitoring, and medical terminology to assist in patient intake and ensure efficient operations. Your knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with BLS certification, will enhance patient interactions. With additional exposure to OB and GYN settings, you will contribute to a collaborative environment focused on patient well-being and satisfaction.
