Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant with experience in Dental Reception to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced dental office environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, strong communication skills, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. A background in dental office management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service.
- Handle insurance verification and patient billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining medical records.
- Respond to patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate care plans and ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing correspondence and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental of minimum 3 years.
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and clinic experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, and health information management.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
