About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to handle the daily financial and bookkeeping operations for multiple companies in multiple states. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting management with reliable financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile all daily financial transactions
  • Maintain general ledgers and prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile bank, loan, and intercompany accounts
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and deposits
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • File monthly sales tax reports and process payments
  • Track prepaid expenses and fixed assets
  • Support payroll processing and employee time tracking
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Generate financial reports as requested
  • Prepare annual P&L and Balance Sheet documentation for CPA to file income tax returns (State and Federal).
  • Prepare and File all necessary State and Local taxes including multi-state sales, payroll, IFTA returns.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, , and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Paylocity a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Understanding for Federal and State tax deadlines and filing requirements

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (1-hour lunch)
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Two weeks of vacation after one year, plus paid sick leave after 90 days
