We are a growth-focused freight brokerage dedicated to providing reliable, transparent logistics solutions. Our team handles everything from quoting to delivery, and we're looking for an Account Manager to serve as a key partner to our sales and operations teams while handling existing customer accounts.

Position Summary

The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for existing customers, managing their freight requirements from quote through delivery. You'll be responsible for quoting, scheduling, order-entry, change-orders, updates and reports. You'll work closely with our Sales Representative (who focuses on new business) and our freight operations team (who handle carrier assignment, pickup through delivery, billing and claims).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide spot quotes to current customers based on freight specs, service needs and carrier cost/rate tables.
  • Enter and schedule orders in the TMS/ERP system with accuracy (pickup/delivery details, carrier assignment, shipment specs).
  • Process change orders and update relevant systems and stakeholders when customers request adjustments.
  • Conduct routine account touches (calls/emails) to maintain relationships, identify service gaps, and capture opportunities.
  • Provide customer updates and reports on in-process shipments (status updates, service issues, KPI tracking).
  • Collaborate with the freight operations team to ensure on-time pickup/delivery and proper carrier performance.
  • Assist with customer concerns, cargo claims, billing disputes or service issues, coordinating with operations and billing teams.
  • Maintain accurate account profiles: open and closed quotes, shipment history, billing status, contact info.
  • Work closely with the Sales Representative to ensure customer satisfaction and retention, freeing the sales rep to pursue new clients.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, account management, or related transportation / 3PL environment.
  • Strong quoting, scheduling and operational coordination skills.
  • Excellent customer-service orientation: able to communicate clearly with clients, carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to handle multiple ongoing shipments/accounts concurrently.
  • Comfortable using a TMS/CRM system, Excel and related business tools.
  • Proactive problem-solver, team-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced logistics/transportation environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $55,000-$60,000/year (depending on experience)
  • Bonus/Performance Component: Additional compensation tied to account retention, volume/margin growth, service metrics — potential to bring total compensation into the $65,000-$75,000+ range.
