Position Summary
Reporting directly to the President of TRPC, the Business Development & Strategic Growth Specialist will support high-impact initiatives to drive the company's growth, government contracting success, and strategic outreach. This individual is not an administrative assistant or data analyst — this role requires a proactive, client-facing, high-energy professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at strategic thinking, and is comfortable presenting ideas, doing market research, preparing pitches, and driving business opportunities forward.
This position is designed for someone who thinks like a business leader: a deal-closer, a relationship-builder, a creative problem-solver.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
Business Development & Outreach
- Lead outreach to potential clients, partners, and government agencies with confidence and professionalism.
- Build strong relationships with current and future clients to support revenue growth.
- Identify, pursue, and support the preparation of proposals for government contracts and business development opportunities.
- Assist in tracking, managing, and analyzing bid and proposal activity, including swap analysis and go/no-go decisions.
Strategic Market Research
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, government opportunities, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for the CEO and leadership team.
- Maintain awareness of public sector procurement cycles and strategic timelines.
CEO Strategic Support
- Partner directly with the CEO to support business strategy, growth planning, and sales ideas.
- Be flexible and available to support last-minute needs, calls, or meetings based on executive schedule.
- Proactively bring new business ideas to the table — this is a role for thinkers and doers.
Sales & Presentation Preparation
- Prepare compelling presentations, pitch decks, and briefing materials for client and investor meetings.
- Create executive-level summaries, data visualizations, and sales documents.
- Assist with messaging and strategic communications for both internal and external audiences.
Project & Initiative Management
- Manage and track progress of strategic initiatives or business opportunities from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress and alignment with company goals.
- Follow up on key actions, decisions, and deliverables related to business development strategy.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Needed to Perform the Job Successfully
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
- 3–5 years' experience in business development, government contracting, consulting, sales, or similar.
- Familiarity with government procurement and contracting process (federal, state, or local).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct strategic market research, identify leads, and take action on opportunities.
- Strong ability to pitch and present ideas clearly to clients, leadership, and partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation creation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace; experience with proposal tools or CRM platforms a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high-stakes decision-making; operates with professionalism and discretion.
- Fluent Mandarin a plus, but not required.
Physical Demands
- Extensive use of computer and mobile devices.
- Ability to participate in phone, video, and in-person meetings.
- Occasional travel may be required (client visits, events, etc.).
Work Conditions
- Flexible hours; must be available to support CEO when needed.
- General office conditions (on-site, remote, or hybrid, based on location and arrangement).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $95,000.00 per year
