Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procure to Pay Manager to oversee the procurement and payment processes within our organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our purchasing operations run smoothly and efficiently, while also managing supplier relationships and maintaining compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in management.
Duties
- Lead and manage the procure to pay process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Supervise team members involved in purchasing, payroll, bookkeeping, and inventory management activities.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs and budgetary constraints.
- Provide training & development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills in procurement and management practices.
- Utilize retail math and data analysis to make informed purchasing decisions that support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies throughout the procurement process.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance service delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse suppliers.
- Experience in retail management or grocery store operations is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in team management, training & development, and employee orientation.
- Proficient in inventory management systems, POS systems, and administrative tasks related to procurement processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective phone etiquette.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a customer service-oriented approach.
