Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Portal Developer to assist in the design, development, and testing of web portal components as part of a modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Pages, Liquid templates, and web development technologies such as jQuery, HTML, and CSS. This role focuses on building and customizing portal pages, templates, and content to deliver a seamless user experience across web and mobile platforms.

Duties

  • Develop and customize Microsoft Power Pages to support dynamic web portal experiences.
  • Use Liquid templates, content snippets, and web templates to create reusable and modular portal components.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, and developers to implement responsive, user-friendly webpages.
  • Assist in unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of portal-related issues.
  • Maintain and update portal content, ensuring alignment with design standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Support integration of portal components with backend systems and APIs where applicable.
  • Participate in documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts related to portal architecture and functionality.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Pages (formerly Power Apps Portals).
  • Proficiency in Liquid templates, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience working with web templates, content snippets, and dynamic page rendering.
  • Understanding of web accessibility, performance optimization, and responsive design principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience with portal development in public sector or large enterprise environments is a plus.
