The National Accounts Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our product lines by managing and expanding relationships with our existing 25 key accounts while also spearheading efforts to acquire new partnerships. This role focuses on buyer relations, working closely with companies that operate online marketplaces and websites to maximize sales of our outdoor toys and equipment, as well as identifying and onboarding new partners with strong online distribution channels to add our products for sale. The successful candidate will be a strategic, results-driven professional who can deeply understand our product offerings, develop tailored sales strategies, implement special campaigns to upsell and increase product visibility across multiple sales channels, and proactively pursue new business opportunities to expand our market presence.
Responsibilities- Account Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with 25 key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for buyers and decision-makers within these companies.
- New Partnership Acquisition: Identify, approach, and secure new partnerships with companies that have robust online distribution channels, convincing them to add our outdoor toys and equipment to their product offerings.
- Product Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio to effectively communicate features, benefits, and unique selling points to both existing and prospective buyers.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products within existing accounts, increasing sales volume and diversifying product placements across their sales channels.
- Strategic Sales Campaigns: Design and implement targeted sales campaigns to boost product visibility and sales on partners' online marketplaces and websites, including newly acquired accounts.
- Channel Optimization: Collaborate with buyers to ensure our products are effectively positioned across various sales channels, including e-commerce platforms, websites, and other digital portals.
- Portal Expansion: Work with accounts to create additional sales portals or enhance existing ones, ensuring broader product reach and optimized sales strategies for both existing and new partners.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute innovative sales outreach strategies tailored to each account's unique needs and market positioning, while also crafting compelling pitches for prospective partners.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze account data (including new partnerships), and provide regular reports to leadership on account growth, campaign effectiveness, and new partner onboarding progress.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong, trust-based relationships with buyers and stakeholders in both existing and new accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and consistent sales growth.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform product strategies, account management approaches, and new partnership opportunities.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or buyer relations, with a proven track record of working with buyers at companies operating online marketplaces or e-commerce platforms. Experience in acquiring new partnerships with companies that have online distribution channels is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of managing relationships with accounts that sell products through digital portals and experience in onboarding new partners to add products for sale through their online channels.
- Product Acumen: Strong ability to learn and articulate detailed product knowledge, with a passion for understanding and promoting outdoor recreational products.
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in upselling, cross-selling, implementing creative sales campaigns, and acquiring new business partnerships to drive revenue growth.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and pitch to prospective partners effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing sales data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions, optimize account performance, and evaluate the success of new partnerships.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align account strategies and new partnership initiatives with company goals.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Amazon Seller Central or similar platforms is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies to meet evolving market demands and new partnership opportunities.
- Base Salary: $175,000 annually.
