Overview
Our real estate and restaurant company was started 40 years ago with a strong emphasis on being organized and relying on our financials to help make good business decisions. Therefore ,we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with minimum 3 years experience in accounting administrative operations to oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of financial preparation & help maintain the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong bookkeeping acumen and have experience with Quickbooks, Google Drive, and POS software, enabling them to manage accounts receivable/payables, perform account reconciliations, payroll and maintain accurate financial records. We are commercial/residential landlord. We also run very successful restaurant/bars. This role is essential for maintaining an efficient office environment and supporting our team in achieving their goals as well as working with bankers, vendors, tax planning & finance executives as well as our operations staff. Duties
- Support daily office operations, including daily sales input, correspondence to managers & vendors, and support with financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payables processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records in the general ledger.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Google Docs for bookkeeping tasks and reporting.
- Conduct double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Assist with clerical duties including 10 key typing for data entry tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare financial reports on a monthly basis and as needed to support management decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Bookkeeper or similar role in an administrative capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software Quickbooks and general ledger accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable/payable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform double-entry bookkeeping accurately.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google for reporting and documentation purposes.
