A leading event and entertainment venue in the Midwest is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, strong leadership, and financial acumen to drive excellence across banquets, catering, concessions, and VIP dining experiences serving thousands of guests annually.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency across multiple outlets and large-scale events.
- Develop and execute seasonally inspired menus with a focus on local sourcing, sustainability, and guest satisfaction.
- Manage food and labor costs, purchasing, and inventory to achieve profitability targets and maintain operational efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and inspire a talented team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to deliver world-class culinary experiences.
- Collaborate with event, catering, and operations teams to create seamless service and memorable dining for conventions, concerts, and special events.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of progressive culinary leadership in large-scale, high-volume venues such as event centers, hotels, or resorts.
- Proven track record overseeing operations exceeding $5M in annual food revenue.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Expertise in menu development, cost control, and large-event culinary execution.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
