Our team is eager to learn, fast-paced, and quality-driven—if that sounds like you, Synergy has a position for youExperience and Required skills:5+ years' experience in IT Engineering or Software Development2+ years, direct experience in Cloud technologiesDesign, develop, tune and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure focused within AWSProven experience with EKS, ECS, AMI, ECR, RDS and other related AWS infrastructure technologies for deployment of an application using Docker containersDeep understanding of CI/CD pipeline configurationsExperience using scripting languages such as Python and BashExperience with one or more container tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Familiar with Cilium and eBPF high performance networkingDesign, implement and improve security compliant boundary protection and network infrastructureExperience setting up Datadog listeners, monitoring, auditing and alerting.Set up and manage virtual networks, routing, VPNs, firewalls, NLBs, ALBs, and other network services on cloud platformsStrong knowledge of at least one major cloud provider's networking services (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, Google Cloud VPC)Deep knowledge and experience of different storage and file system technologiesUnderstanding of cloud migration procedures and automation within AWSExperience developing and updating technical, design and security documentation utilizing AWS Well-Architected FrameworkPreferred Skills:Understanding of API Gateway technologies and SFTP implementations.Deployment experience with Tomcat, JBOSS, Apache, nginx software.Experience administering Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence, Jira,Crowd, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.Familiarity with frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, etc.Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree in IT/Software engineering or related field preferredHighly preferred Certifications (or equivalent):AWS Certified DevOps Engineer ProfessionalAWS Certified Solutions SysOps Administrator / DeveloperAWS Certified Solutions Architect (Preferred)Kubernetes Certification KCNA, CKAD, CKA, KCSA or CKSCitizenship or Work Authorization Required:Ability to attain a Federal Government Position of Trust.Must be a U.S. citizen.Must pass a background investigation.Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs.
