About the Opportunity

Abel Personnel is seeking a
Level II IT Specialist
for a growing organization located in
Lancaster, PA
. This position is ideal for a systems-minded technician who's ready to move beyond Tier 1 support into more advanced, hands-on systems and infrastructure work.

The selected candidate will provide
Tier 2 technical support
, assist with
system administration
, and collaborate with senior IT professionals on projects that strengthen and modernize the company's internal technology environment.

This is a strong fit for someone who is
tech-savvy, self-motivated, and eager to grow
into a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 technical issues across hardware, software, and networking.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security through Active Directory and related tools.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
  • Support server, network, and storage maintenance under senior guidance.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime.
  • Document technical processes, troubleshooting steps, and configurations.
  • Provide responsive, professional internal customer support.
  • Participate in technical training and mentorship programs to advance skills.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of IT experience (help desk, desktop support, or system support).
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, networking, and systems fundamentals.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a learning-focused environment.
  • Preferred:
    Bilingual in Spanish and English.
