Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Tax Preparer to join our team. No prior experience is required — we provide full training and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and eager to learn. This position involves assisting clients with their tax filings while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with IRS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual tax returns (and assist with business returns under supervision).
  • Gather and organize client financial information and documentation.
  • Ensure all tax returns are completed accurately and in compliance with current tax laws.
  • Exercise due diligence in verifying client information and reporting data correctly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accountability to minimize liability and protect client data.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships through professionalism, clear communication, and excellent customer service.
  • Assist clients with general tax questions and explain filing results in a clear, friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and compliant workflow.

Qualifications:

  • No prior tax preparation experience required (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort using tax software (training provided).
  • Integrity, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality are essential.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the financial services industry.
