Tsunami Express currently owns and operates 75+ express car wash locations across Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and Wisconsin, with aggressive plans to expand to 100+ locations over the next three years. We are creating a high-performance network of car washes powered by people, automation, and smart technology.
We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team and support our rapid, private-equity–backed expansion. This high-impact role will develop financial models, support reporting, analyze performance drivers, and partner across teams to improve profitability and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Build, maintain, and enhance monthly and long-term forecasting models.
- Support annual planning and monthly budget-to-actual reporting.
- Analyze KPIs including memberships, site-level performance, volume, and throughput.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity models to guide decision-making.
- Use DOMO, , and internal datasets to identify trends and risks.
- Update long-term plans as pipeline, operations, and market conditions evolve.
Mergers & Acquisitions:
- Support diligence through financial modeling, synergy assessment, and risk identification.
- Maintain integration models and track post-close performance.
- Identify gaps vs. underwriting and partner with teams to close them.
Reporting & Presentations:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages.
- Support board and investor presentations.
- Deliver clear, concise insights to Finance leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Build automated or semi-automated reporting solutions to reduce manual work.
Process Improvement:
Streamline financial processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Implement modeling standards, documentation, and repeatable templates.
Leverage NetSuite, DOMO, and Excel to automate recurring workflows.
Maintain strong data hygiene and disciplined analytical practices.
Qualifications:
Titleandlevel(FinancialAnalystorSeniorFinancialAnalyst)willbecalibratedbasedon experienceanddemonstratedcapabilityinmodeling,analytics,andM&Aexposure.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Financial Analyst: 1–4 years in investment banking, consulting, TAS, FP&A, corporate finance, or other data-heavy analytical roles.
Senior Financial Analyst: 4–7 years with meaningful exposure to M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or complex modeling.
Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency (model architecture, arrays, PowerQuery preferred).
Experience with dashboards, KPIs, and large dataset analysis.
Strong communication skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in multi-unit, retail, recurring-revenue, or service-based businesses.
Exposure to corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or consulting.
Familiarity with DOMO or similar BI tools.
Experience with NetSuite or other ERPs.
Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
