Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of corporate finance principles. This role involves conducting thorough financial analysis, preparing reports, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making within the organization. The Financial Analyst will utilize various financial software and tools to analyze data, forecast trends, and assist in budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements, cash flow analysis, and budgeting documents.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data collection, financial modeling, and pivot tables to analyze trends and performance metrics.
  • Develop data visualization dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to present findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for corporate accounting and cost accounting initiatives.
  • Perform quantitative research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of ERP systems and Hyperion for streamlined financial reporting.
  • Support investment banking activities through detailed financial report writing and business analysis.
  • Monitor industry trends using Bloomberg and other business intelligence tools to inform strategic decisions.
  • Engage in forecasting activities to predict future financial outcomes based on historical data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VBA for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation is preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, corporate finance, and governmental accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct quantitative analysis effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear financial report writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
