Substitute Heavy Diesel Technician Instructor

Join us at NADC (Nashville Auto-Diesel College) in Nashville, TN We're looking for skilled Heavy Diesel Technicians to become valued Substitute Instructors in our Heavy Diesel Technology program on an as-needed basis. No teaching experience is required. We specialize in helping technicians transition into engaging educators and provide ongoing training and tools to make it easy for you to step in and deliver our structured curriculum when regular instructors are unavailable.

Key Responsibilities for Substitute Heavy Diesel Technician Instructors:

  • Deliver engaging lectures with NADC's standardized curriculum when needed
  • Teach and provide hands-on training in Heavy Diesel Technology in our fully equipped facility
  • Follow established lesson plans and maintain classroom continuity
  • Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability
  • Evaluate and communicate progress with students in a timely manner
  • Teach students about the importance of safety and compliance
  • Adapt quickly to different class schedules and student groups as needed

Key Requirements for Substitute Heavy Diesel Technician Instructors:

  • 3+ years of Heavy Diesel Technician experience
  • Former or current industry certifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in technology and computer skills
  • Flexibility to work with varying schedules
  • Teaching experience is a plus but not required
