With over nineteen terminals operating locally throughout the Southeast and Midwest, your leadership will be vital in making sure that our Diesel Mechanic team operates proactively, staying ahead of repairs and consistently delivering reliability and performance to our clients and our fleet. If you are looking for a team to grow with, Atomic Transport is seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Maintenance Manager to join our Nashville, TN location.

Job Duties:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the diesel technician team, ensuring high quality, efficient maintenance and repair work.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and repair guidance for diesel engines, electrical systems, differentials, brake systems and other key components.
  • Promote a culture of safety and lead ongoing training initiatives to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Ensure technicians are working in a safe manner, using PPE and all tools and immediately if any issues arise.
  • Assist in ordering any necessary parts, materials, tools, and equipment that are needed, and making our shop storage stay clean and organized.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience in a shop environment.
  • Must have some Diesel Mechanic experience, since you will be working closely with our Diesel Mechanic Team and perform some mechanical repairs when needed.
  • Must have the ability to operate the following but not limited to Cummins Insite and Bendix ACOM.
  • Must have your own tools that would be necessary to perform the work that is required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with our management team, drivers, and vendors.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 10–11-hour shifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90, $95,000.00 per year
