ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager & Senior Research Analyst is part of the US Value's Investment Team and is responsible for managing client portfolios, conducting securities research and participating in research groups. This role will participate in client and prospect meetings and calls and mentor and coach less experienced employees.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Independently conducts equity research analysis by analyzing and forecasting financial statements, conducting industry and competitive analysis, and other methods of due diligence, including but not limited to: investor relations and interviews with management. Provide Buy and Hold recommendations.
  • Manages investment portfolios to maximize investment returns commensurate with acceptable level of risk. Implement portfolio policies and programs approved by management and the investment committee. Ensures team is aware of and acts within the established policies and guidelines.
  • Meets with major clients and prospects for portfolio reviews and new business opportunities. Act as a resource for clients, compliance, risk, and client facing personnel by answering questions and providing insight on portfolios.
  • Advises junior staff on challenging issues and suggests process improvement to increase profitability of group and performance of portfolios.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.

Licenses/Certifications Required

  • CFA preferred

Minimum Specific Experience Required

  • 15 years of equity research with at least 5 years of portfolio management
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available.

This position requires travel approximately 10% of the time. Most travel is outside of the local area and may be outside of normal work hours.
