Vice President, Development Management.

Location: Dallas, TX (with travel).

My client is seeking a highly experienced Vice President, Development Management to lead the execution of large-scale data center projects from post-land acquisition through construction to handover. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee development management activities post-acquisition, including permitting, power, tax incentives, engineering, and construction coordination.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (design, construction, legal, finance, EHSS, procurement, sales) and external consultants to drive projects forward.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk to ensure successful financial close and transition into construction and operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, utilities, municipalities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement and refine development processes to support scalable growth.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in development/project management, ideally in data center, mission-critical, or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong track record in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing large, fast-paced developments.
  • Commercial acumen with proven ability to balance risk and opportunity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Project Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
