Dietary Aide

· Prepare foods assigned by the Cook, using daily menus; and in accordance with residents' dietary restrictions/therapeutic diets as prescribed by physician.

· Assist in preparing foods for special events.

· Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.

· Store food properly for infection control.

· Participate in serving food.

· Bus tables during and after meals.

· Reset tables for the next meal.

· Prepare beverages before meals.

· Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule.

· Clean/sweep dining area after each meal.

· Stack, soak, and run dish machine.

· Soak and clean pots and pans.

· Put away clean dishes, pots and pans.

· Carry out other duties as assigned from the supervisor.

· Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.

· Report on the job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.

· Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors.

· Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.

Standards:

· Be able to perform duties with an upbeat, pleasant personality.

· Residents always come first, and their needs will be met unless there is a conflict with the needs of others or the organization as a whole.

· Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol.

· Neat appearance, adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene are expected.

· Be able and willing to work outside of your job description.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour
