Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and have experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in catering events as required, providing high-quality food service for special occasions.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably in a line cook role.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills, including knife skills.
  • Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and menu planning is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • A commitment to upholding food safety standards and practices in the kitchen environment.
  • Experience in fine dining establishments is desirable but not required.
