Senior Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our insurance defense team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a solid understanding of litigation processes. This role requires a proactive professional who can provide reliable support to attorneys, maintain accurate case files, and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing insurance defense cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
- Manage litigation case files, ensuring documents are organized, updated, and properly maintained.
- Review, proofread, and format legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
- Utilize case/document management systems to maintain records and track case progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Coordinate scheduling, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance with state and federal rules.
- Support attorneys with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, billing support, and calendaring.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or related legal practice strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with discovery processes, court rules, and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software (e.g., iManage, PCLaw, or similar).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in client and court interactions.
- Experience supporting a high-volume practice or executive-level professionals is a plus.
