Field Business Development Manager

The Field Business Development Manager (FBDM) will lead new business growth and relationship development for beverages in the restaurant and rec- retail channels across the Houston market and the Rio Grande Valley area. This role requires a driven, strategic individual who is comfortable managing a field-based territory, cultivating partnerships, and driving brand presence in key customer channels. Candidates must reside in the Houston metroplex area and be able to dedicate approximately 25% of each month in the RGV area. The FBDM will be responsible for delivering against local and regional sales objectives, while helping shape strategic initiatives and supporting the company's broader commercial goals.
ResponsibilitiesThe FBDM will be accountable for:
- Developing and executing local market strategies that contribute to regional and divisional sales growth.
- Prospecting, qualifying, and converting new business across foodservice restaurant and rec-retail channels.
- Driving channel share growth and improving retention within assigned markets.
- Securing new outlet placements and expanding total points of distribution.
- Leveraging customer data, competitive insights, and marketing tools to create customized solutions.
- Creating and presenting strategic proposals and bundled selling programs to key decision makers.
- Supporting brand portfolio growth across priority categories such as energy, premium offerings, and zero-sugar innovation.
- Utilizing sales enablement tools, planograms, and digital platforms to enhance proposal effectiveness.
- Partnering cross-functionally with key account managers, finance, marketing, and distributor teams.
- Participating in regional sales blitzes, team trainings, and capability-building initiatives.
- Managing pipeline stages using structured sales methodology, including discovery, proposals, presentations, and close.
- Ensuring effective budget and resource management within territory.
- Contributing to organizational health, team culture, and individual development goals.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300 - $107,650.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, field sales, or territory management.
- Must reside in the Houston metroplex area.
- Ability to spend 25% of each month in the RGV including overnight travel.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and meeting sales targets.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing multi-stage pipelines and structured selling processes.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Savvy) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel.
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience in foodservice, consumer packaged goods, or beverage industry.
- Familiarity with trade marketing, customer funding programs, and merchandising strategies.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
- Advanced credentials or training in strategic selling or customer development.
