Job Title: Shipping Clerk and Sample Shipment
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Hours: 6am – 2:30 pm (30 min lunch) Monday – Friday

  • Different hours may be assigned depending on the shipping schedule. Some Saturdays and holidays are required to work in busy season.

Work Location: Irvine, CA

Pay range: $20-21/hour

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage sample shipments including collecting sample products from each plant, picking up dry ice, scheduling deliveries, overseeing sample deliveries are made on time.
  • Drive transfer truck as needed. No commercial license is necessary.
  • Answer e-mails and updating the spreadsheet.
  • Assist in keeping tack product inventory.
  • Help inventory preparation and actual count.
  • Prepare shipping documents by using the company system and handy.
  • Prepare orders for shipment following established procedures for packaging, boxing, bundling, wrapping, and labeling if needed.
  • Inspect products upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and report issues to the supervisor if needed.
  • Verify receipt of purchased goods from suppliers and process paperwork according to established procedures if needed.
  • Work well with shipping team to complete orders on time.
  • Follow Shipping/ Inventory Supervisor and Shipping Supervisors' instructions.
  • Efficiently work within a busy environment.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience is appreciated (will be trained and certified)
  • Use the company System and handy.
  • California Class C DL and good record is required.
  • Basic PC skills
  • Good communication skills

Work Environment

  • About 80-90% will be working in the Office, but it requires:

  • Work in the freezer and warehouse.

  • Work in the cold environment.
  • Frequently exposed to moving forklift and pallet jack.
