Who We Want:
We're seeking a Senior Director of Commercial Operations to be a key driver of Q'Apel's growth and success. This leader will design, implement, and oversee scalable processes that empower our commercial teams—Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations, to operate with excellence. As a strategic partner to leadership, the Director of Commercial Operations will bring structure, insights, and alignment across functions, ensuring we deliver on our ambitious goals while enabling a seamless, high-impact commercial experience.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with the CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, and Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) to oversee the sales funnel, track monthly/quarterly progress and identify/flag major roadblocks to achieving revenue goals.
- Lead sales forecasting, quota allocation, and territory design to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop, implement, and manage sales compensation plans, awards, and incentive programs in partnership with Sales Leadership and Finance.
- Serve as the Salesforce owner and subject matter expert, ensuring accurate reporting, adoption, and optimization across the sales organization.
- Support sales training logistics in collaboration with Sales and Marketing, ensuring consistent onboarding and continuous development for the sales team.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure launch materials and campaigns are aligned to regional and field needs.
- Partner with Corporate Finance to track P&L performance, prepare commission reports, and ensure accurate/timely payments.
- Manage trunk stock and field inventory in coordination with Finance.
- Support trade shows, conferences, and other commercial events to maximize ROI.
- Collaborate with HR to support onboarding, compliance, and training requirements for the sales team members.
- Work with Sales Leadership to establish short, mid, and long-term commercial goals, ensuring execution against growth strategies.
- Provide actionable insights and reporting that drive decision-making and help achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Act as a trusted partner to the CCO and commercial leadership team in driving scale, alignment, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, or another related field.
Experience & Skills:
- Must have 12 years of experience in Sales or a similar role and 7 plus years of experience in a leadership role.
- 5+ years minimum experience working in a neurovascular.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset; strong ability to craft compelling narratives using data.
- Proven experience in commercial or sales operations leadership roles, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Deep understanding of sales forecasting, quota allocation, and incentive plan design.
- Expertise in Salesforce CRM administration and analytics.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in P&L tracking and commission management.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to partner across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and HR.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- A hands-on, all-in, startup mindset—comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also thinking strategically.
