Director of Operations

Job Summary
The Director of Operations will:
- Facilitate cross departmental work to design and manage proper use of dashboards as related to completion of 3-year strategic plan.
- Partner with senior leadership in establishing, reviewing and enhancing processes for monitoring metrics and reporting on goals and key performance indicators across all departments and systems.
- Recommend and facilitate the implementation of systems and practices to support ongoing increases in efficiency and effectiveness in business operations.
- Be responsible for planning and executing top priority, highly complex projects in order to achieve specific targets linked to key performance indicators and/or initiatives.
- Manage the overall Property budget, drive capital projects, collaborate with Property Directors on improvement and maintenance plans and schedules.
Typical daily, weekly and monthly activities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and ensure alignment between operations and mission delivery including facilitation of major contracts
- Work closely with IT Director to evaluate and manage systems for efficient mission delivery
- Champion the use of technology, data, and process innovation to advance organizational performance
- Communicate with stakeholders; internal and external status, next step and what to expect
- Identify possible issues/risk, develop solutions and adapt project plan with stakeholders
- Monitor the progress of strategic projects, budgets, and key milestones
- Compare actual performance against planned/scheduled timeline
- Development of resources to address stakeholders' needs
- Reporting status/feedback to stakeholders
- Continuously building relationship/partnership with stakeholders
- This position requires regular travel between sites

Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years leading complex, cross-functional projects
- Ability to work from home, as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and education, comparable to the attainment of a bachelors' degree
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
- Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Ability to learn new online tools and databases quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment, meet deadlines successfully, and manage multiple tasks and demands.
- Commitment to diversity and proven ability to work effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to pass the Girl Scouts background check process and verification standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Current California Driver's license, valid auto insurance, and be insurable by the council auto policy carrier, and have access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience working in fundraising.
- Prior experience working with volunteers
- Experience working in SalesForce
- Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) skills
- Knowledge of Girl Scout mission, standards, systems, and programs
- Knowledge of other cultures
