Under the supervision of the Deputy Labor Commissioner III (DLC III/Senior Deputy) in the Labor Commissioner's Office (LCO) Wage Claim Adjudication (WCA) unit, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will analyze data, generate reports, and conduct compliance reviews by performing a broad range of analytical and specialized evaluative tasks related to the effective administration of the WCA unit including its labor compliance, investigation, and enforcement of the Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) orders and laws covering workers' compensation insurance coverage, wage and hours laws, and other related enforcement responsibilities.

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
