Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Platform Architect in Detroit, MI to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data platforms. This role focuses on building scalable, cloud-based systems that support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows. The position is open to full-time or part-time candidates and offers hybrid work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for processing data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to convert requirements into effective and reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations to enhance platform performance and capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud platform development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $155,000 – $165,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10–20% of base salary
