Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Finance and Payment Services to lead our financial operations, payment systems, and strategic financial planning. This executive role requires a deep understanding of financial management, regulatory compliance, and innovative payment solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive expertise in accounting standards, financial analysis, and risk management to support our organization's growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of corporate finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that optimize revenue management, cost control, and profit & loss performance.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, and liquidity planning to support operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and adherence to accounting standards such as IFRS, GAAP, IAS, ASC 606, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting activities.
  • Oversee risk analysis and risk management initiatives related to financial operations and payment services.
  • Direct governmental accounting processes and ensure proper handling of non-profit accounting if applicable.
  • Implement effective internal controls for accounts payable, accounts receivable, accrual accounting, and bookkeeping functions.
  • Lead the development of financial software systems integration to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify growth opportunities through strategic investment management and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage compliance with industry regulations related to financial services and payment processing systems.
  • Foster a high-performance finance team through leadership development, training programs, and mentoring.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, IAS standards, ASC 606 revenue recognition rules, and technical accounting principles.
  • Proven expertise in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, cost accounting, and public accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial report writing & interpretation, profit & loss analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis & reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, fiscal management & cost control.
  • Experience with risk analysis & risk management strategies within financial services environments.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications along with advanced skills in account reconciliation & cash flow analysis tools.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills for effective financial report presentation & team management.
