What you'll do

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping atmosphere.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products attractively on shelves and ensuring stock levels are optimal.
  • Supervise junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Handle stocking duties to ensure shelves are replenished and inventory is managed effectively.
  • Communicate clearly over the phone with customers, providing information about products and services.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Basic math skills to accurately handle transactions and manage retail math tasks.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience in a grocery store or similar environment.
  • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base effectively.
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques and inventory management practices.
  • Experience in supervising team members or leading small groups.
