The Mechanical Drafter and Designer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, bill of materials structure management, and working with both internal and external partners to ensure that our designs are accurate, efficient, and meet industry standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:


• Create and maintain detailed mechanical drawings and schematics for electrical distribution equipment.


• Develop and maintain bill of materials (BOM) structures for new and existing products.


• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the accuracy of design and manufacturing documentation.


• Create and maintain engineering change requests and update documentation accordingly.


• Support production and quality assurance activities by providing technical guidance and answering questions.


• Manage document control processes, including revision control and document distribution.


• Assist with the preparation of production process instructions and work instructions.

Qualifications


• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field


• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter/Designer


• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer


• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
