Marketing Specialist

RFG Advisory is redefining how advisors experience marketing—and we're looking for a Marketing Specialist who can make that experience exceptional. You'll partner directly with Advisors to translate ideas into real results, managing the details, timelines, and teamwork that make campaigns succeed.
This role blends project management, marketing execution, and relationship-building. You'll help bring strategy to life through organized workflows, on-brand assets, and campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes.
Please note: Prior experience in financial services or a regulated industry is preferred.
Location
- This position is based in Birmingham, AL, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 remote).
- Remote work will be considered for the right candidate; occasional travel to Birmingham may be required.
What You'll Do
Project & Workflow Management
- Coordinate marketing projects from kickoff to completion—ensuring deliverables are on time, accurate, and aligned with advisor goals.
- Build and manage timelines, trackers, and progress updates in project management tools.
- Partner cross-functionally with design, copy, events, compliance and key vendors to keep campaigns moving smoothly.
- Proactively identify roadblocks, clarify next steps, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Campaign & Marketing Execution
- Support the setup and delivery of advisor marketing campaigns (email, social, events, and digital).
- Manage campaign assets, proofing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Leverage data tools to track performance and optimize ongoing initiatives.
Advisor Collaboration
- Serve as a go-to resource for advisors, helping translate goals into tactical marketing plans.
- Provide guidance on available resources, timelines, and best practices for execution.
- Build strong relationships through proactive communication, reliability, and attention to detail.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and summarize campaign performance using tools like FMG, GA4 and HubSpot.
- Support quarterly advisor reporting with clean data, clear visuals, and insights for improvement.
- Maintain organized records of campaign activity, performance, and ROI.
Content & Asset Coordination
- Manage production timelines and asset requests for digital and print collateral.
- Keep marketing libraries current—ensuring all advisor-branded materials are versioned, compliant, and easy to access.
- Collaborate with creative teams to align copy, design, and strategy.

- Project Management: Cross-functional coordination and timeline ownership.
- Campaign Execution: Advisor campaigns across digital, print, and events.
- Data & Insights: Reporting and performance tracking.
- Advisor Engagement: Trusted partner and relationship manager.
- Process Optimization: Continuous improvement of marketing systems and workflows.

Requirements
What You Bring
- 1 –3 years of marketing or project management experience (financial services a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience using project management and marketing platforms (e.g., FMG, HubSpot, Zoho, Asana, ClickUp, etc.)
- Understanding of marketing campaign structure: lists, landing pages, workflows, creative assets, and analytics
- Clear, confident communicator, written and verbal, with strong relationship skills
- Collaborative, curious, and proactive approach to problem solving
Bonus Points
- Financial services, RIA, or Advisor marketing experience
- Canva, WordPress, or basic HTML familiarity
- Comfort analyzing marketing performance data and optimizing campaigns
- Experience with compliance and content approval workflows
